Hon. Sir Grantley Adams, C.M.G., Q.C., 60, is Prime Minister Minister of the West Indies and first Vice-President of The West Indies Federal Labour Party which forms the Government. Sir Grantley is one of the oldest Parlimentarians in the West Indies. He was a member of the Barbados House of Assembly since 1934. In 1946 he was mad leader of the House of Assembly and in 1954 he became Barbados's first Premier under the country's new constitution. Sir Grantley is also a journalist, a lawyer and a trade unionist. (May 1958) (WIP-32)
