Biographical / Historical
Henri Everest Telfer was born on 8th December 1927 and passed away on 8th January 1999. He was a designer and graphic artist who produced logos, insignia, illustrations, costume and set designs. Among the corporate logos credited to him in Trinidad and Tobago are the former Trinidad Telephone Company (TELCO), National Carnival Commission, Caribbean School of Dance, Carifesta and the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago. He was a member of the Trindad Art Society and participated in the Society's first exhibition in 1944. In 1951 he graduated from the School of Art and Design in Montreal.

The items in the collection retain the numbers which were assigned to them by the 101 Gallery
Custodial History
The sketches were purchased from 101 Gallery in Trinidad and Tobago. Certificates of authentication signed by the artist's son, Neil Telfer accompany the sketches. Acquired in 2009. Three additional paintings were acquired in 2013.
Legal Status
Permission has been granted to digitize the sketches for research and academic purposes.
