Andrew "Lord Superior" Marcano collection
Abstract
The collection contains photographs of Lord Superior and other calypsonians including Lord Brynner, Sparrow, Kitchener, Brigo, and members of the Young Brigade. There are snippets from his life captured in newspaper clippings from the 1950s-2000s. Researchers interested in this collection may also wish to consult an interview with Lord Superior held in the OPReP collection.

Biographical note
Andrew "Lord Superior" Marcano was born in Rio Claro, Trinidad in 1937. He was a guitarist, composer, singer and businessman. Among his many accolades was the honorary D.Litt degree bestowed on him by the University of the West Indies in 2017.
