Leroy Adams, M.P., 30, is a member of Mr. Ebenezer Joshua's Peoples's Progressive Party, which is affiliated to the D.L.P. He worked with United traders Ltd. and subsequently with Hazell and Sons and Co. Ltd., one of the biggest firms in St. Vincent. He was a member of the Shop Assistant's Wages council and of the Labour advisory Board. (May-1958) (WIP-29)

Ralph Brown, M.P., 34, is political secretary to the Hon. Wills Isaac Minister of Trade & Industry. Mr. Brown has been active in politics ever since he returned to Jamaica after serving with the R.A.F. in World War II. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 1956. As chairman of the Kingston and St. Andrew Town Planning Committee, Mr. Brown attended a Town and Country Planning conferance of the West Indies in Trinidad in November, 1956. (May-1958) (WIP-30)

William Henry Bramble, M.P., 57, has been an elected member of the Montserrat Legislative Council since 1951. Born in 1901, Mr. Bramble was elected at St. Mary's College and later on worked with the Monstserrat Co. Ltd. and on various plantations. He is now a trader and undertaker. Mr. Bramble was one of the signatories to the 1956 agreemnet on Federation and has been Montserrat's representative at all subsequent Federation conferances. Mr. Bramble is a member of the Montserrat Labour Party wich is affiliated to the Federal Labour Party of the West Indies. (May 1958) (WIP-31)

Hon. Sir Grantley Adams, C.M.G., Q.C., 60, is Prime Minister Minister of the West Indies and first Vice-President of The West Indies Federal Labour Party which forms the Government. Sir Grantley is one of the oldest Parlimentarians in the West Indies. He was a member of the Barbados House of Assembly since 1934. In 1946 he was mad leader of the House of Assembly and in 1954 he became Barbados's first Premier under the country's new constitution. Sir Grantley is also a journalist, a lawyer and a trade unionist. (May 1958) (WIP-32)

Mrs. Florence Daysh, M.P., 50, is the second woman to be a member of the Barbados Legislative council. An active social worker since 1937, was associated with the committee of the Baby Welfare League. During the war she saw service in the U.K. and was attached to the Prisoners of War Dept., St. James Palace, served with the Red Cross Society for 3 years and qualified as an ambulance driver in the London Auxiliary Service. She continued her social work when she returned to Barbados. Her hobbies are Tennis and Hockey. She was educated in Barbados, England and France. She is a member of the Barbados National Party. David Lloyd, M.P. is a former member of the Legislative Council. Mr. Llyod, who was born in Anguilla, is a shipwright, carpenter and boat owner. He is also a member of the St. Kitts- Nevis Trades and Labour Union. (May 1958) (WIP-34)

Clement Theobold Afflick, M.P. is a mechanic, contractor and builder. He is a former member of the Board of Trustees of Titchfield Secondary School and has been a member of the Parish Council of Portland since 1947. Hon. Phyllis Allfrey, Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, founded the Dominica Labour Party. She lived for a long while in the United Kingdom where she was a member of the British politics. Mrs. Allfrey was born in Dominica. She was also the author of a novel "The Orchid Home" and several poems. (May-1958) (WIP-36)

Albert Belinfante, M.P., 41, an elementary school teacher, is an ardent party member, who has served as chief campaign organiser for member of the House of Representatives. He made his mark as an athlete during college days, and has identified himself with all forms of sport in his district. He also takes an active interest in 4-H club work, is associated with the Jamaica agricultural branches and has identified himself with nearly all efforts in the Arts. (May-1958) (WIP-37)
